Visiting Instructor or Visiting Assistant Professor (080066)

Description:
The Department of English at the University of Missouri-Columbia seeks to hire a visiting assistant professor or visiting instructor in eighteenth-and nineteenth-century British Literature for the 2008-2009 academic year. The successful candidate will teach 3 courses per semester, including at least one section of the British literature survey (beginning to 1789) each semester. Preference given to candidates able to teach upper-division courses in both eighteenth-century literature and Romanticism.

Qualifications:
ABD required; PhD preferred. Successful teaching experience.

Salary and Start Date:

The position includes benefits; salary is $36,000. Anticipated start date of May 31, 2008.
