Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor (080028)
Position:
The University of Missouri-Columbia Respiratory Therapy program has an opening for a 12 month 75% FTE benefit eligible non-regular faculty position as a Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor depending on credentials. The program offers a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Respiratory Therapy and offers on line degree completion program for Registered Respiratory Therapists wanting the Bachelor of Health Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching didactic courses, bedside clinical instruction for junior level students and participate in service and outreach activities.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree is required, be a registered therapist through the NBRC, licensed to practice in the State of Missouri, and have a minimum of 2-3 years recent clinical experience and clinical preceptor experience with an accredited respiratory therapy program. We are seeking an individual with a desire to teach in the classroom and clinical setting. Preference given to applicant with problem based learning (PBL) experience, on line course development and teaching, and ACLS/CPR instructor credentials.
Salary and Start Date:
Position begins July 1, 2008. Salary commensurate with experience. The University of Missouri offers excellent tuition assistance and benefits.
