Clinical Instructor or Clinical Assistant Professor (080072)

Position:
The University of Missouri-Columbia Respiratory Therapy program has an opening for a 12 month 100% FTE benefit eligible non-regular faculty position as a Clinical Instructor or Clinical Associate Professor --depending on credentials. The program offers a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Respiratory Therapy and an on line degree completion program leading to a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Respiratory Therapy. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching didactic courses, providing bedside clinical instruction for junior level students and participating in service and outreach activities.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor degree is required, Master’s preferred. Applicant must be a registered therapist through the NBRC and licensed or eligible for license to practice in the State of Missouri. Classroom teaching and recent clinical experience in respiratory care preferred. Preference given to applicant with experience in problem based learning (PBL), on line course development and teaching, and ACLS/CPR instructor credentials.

Salary and Start Date:
Position begins July 1, 2008, salary commensurate with experience. The University of Missouri offers excellent tuition assistance and benefits.
