Teacher Infant/Toddler Instructor(070103)
Position:
Developing and teaching Infant Toddler Development and Programs course and serving as Head Teacher in the Infant Toddler Laboratory Program.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing and teaching the Infant Toddler Development and Programs course and serving as Head Teacher in the Infant Toddler Laboratory Program and supervising staff and students.
The Child Development Laboratory:
The Child Development Laboratory has been rated among the top ten in the country, and enrolls over 90 children. It serves infant, toddler, preschool, and school-age children and operates year-round. The lab functions as a training and research facility for campus programs.
The HDFS Department:
The HDFS department has 18 tenure track/tenured faculty members and instructors. It serves approximately 160 undergraduate majors and 50 masters and doctoral students. The faculty is a group of productive scholars studying areas including child care, development across cultures, development across the lifespan, family interaction and relationships, divorce and remarriage.
The University:
The University of Missouri is located in Columbia, MO, a city of about 90,000 located in mid-Missouri.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in child development or early childhood education by hire date and two years experience working with infants and toddlers preferred. Minimum qualifications-master's degree in a related field by hire date and a minimum of five years experience working with infants and toddlers may be considered.
Start Date:
Negotiable. May 19, 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter.
