Assistant or Associate Professor Vascular Cell/Molecular Biology (070068)
Position:
Applications are being accepted for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Responsibility/Duties:
Potential for collaborative interactions with current faculty include vascular cell biology, exercise, microcirculation, neural cardiorespiratory control, sex differences, vascular cell-matrix interactions, cardiac function and large mammal models of cardiovascular disease. Preference will be placed on those whose research utilizes state-of-the-art in vivo and in vitro molecular approaches to cardiovascular and/or exercise-related problems, although outstanding applicants in other related aspects of molecular biology are encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities involve molecular biology related lectures to first year veterinary and graduate students.
Qualifications:
Requirements include MD, DVM and/or PhD degree. The successful candidate must have proven expertise in molecular biology technologies and have extramural support or demonstrate exceptional potential for the development of a vigorous, sustained research program.
Starting Date:
