Assistant/Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor (070323)
Position:
The Neurology/Neurosurgery Service at the University of Missouri, College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a board certified or eligible (ACVIM or ECVN) colleague with neurosurgery expertise to join our growing program as an Assistant Professor/Associate Professor or Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidate will work with the two current faculty to enhance referral caseload and to train students and house officers in neurosurgery and neurology. Other teaching responsibilities will include classroom lectures and laboratories.
The modern Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities and equipment including electrodiagnostics (digital EEG, EMG, NCV, and signal averaging), advanced imaging (1.5 Tesla MRI, helical CT with a large-animal table, SPECT imaging, and C-arm), MR compatible stereotaxic apparatus, a linear accelerator, and physical therapy. The Comparative Neurology Program offers the opportunity for collaborative or independent basic, translational, and clinical research. The CNP has active collaborations with other departments in the CVM and the School of Medicine in the areas of molecular genetics, neurodegenerative diseases, neuro-ophthalmology, neuropathology, epilepsy, and gene therapy.
